 (A) Admission Procedure for Under Graduate (B. Tech.) courses in Engineering
As per the guidelines of the State Government & State Common Entrance Test Authority i.e. Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test for Engineering, Architecture & Pharmacy (RPET) for Under Graduate courses in Engineering & Pharmacy are as under :-As per the existing policy of the State Government, as applicable in the year -, the admissions in various under graduate programmes were made under three different quotas namely (i) All India Quota (15% of sanctioned intake) (ii) State Quota (70%) the general quota is inclusive of SC/ST/OBC reservation and (iii) Management Quota (15%).

 (B) Eligibility for B. Tech. courses
A candidate must ensure that he / she is eligible for admission to various Governments aided and private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan (except BITS Pilani, MNIT Jaipur and other Deemed and Private Universities) before filling up the RPET-2010 Application Form. If a non-eligible candidate is admitted due to any reason then the admission of such a candidate will be cancelled as soon as the mistake is detected even at later stage. Various eligibility criteria for admission to B.Tech./B.E. course shall be as under :-
o The minimum academic qualification for admission to B.Tech./B.E. program in Rajasthan is a pass in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) of Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan.
o Subject combination required in the qualifying examination for admission to B.Tech./B.E. courses shall be as under :-

Note: Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination class XII in 2010 will be provisionally permitted to appear in RPET. Such candidates will only be eligible for subsequent counseling and admission, provided they pass the class XII Examination with the subjects as mentioned in above table. However, all such candidates will have to produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination at the time of submission of the prescribed Option Form, otherwise their candidature will be cancelled.

AGE : Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1985 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PH candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1980 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education marksheet / certificate only will be taken as authentic.

 (D) Admission Procedure for Polytechnic Diploma Holders
Admissions are open for the students who have completed their Polytechnic Diploma and want to go for engineering further. Those, who have passed their diploma with Minimum 50% Aggeregate, are eligible to get direct admission in engineering II Year. One, who fulfills the same criteria, can apply for admission, for which he has to come directly to the college and complete the formalities required as per the rules and regulations of RTU.
